Default japanese springs on koni shocks?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I'm sure you're sick of koni questions. What I want to know is can I use japanese springs, that have a smaller ID (60mm?) on koni sports? Kg/mm is an example of the springs. Or do I have to stick with h&r, or eibach?

I'm not sure I understand you question exactly, but I want to make sure your question doesn't go unnoticed. Are you buying one of the two? (Koni or Japanese Springs?)
Sounds like you have shorted "Jap" springs and want to make sure Konis will work with them... is that right?

If you're using an OEM shock right now, Konis will "or should" only improve upon your car's abilities. If you're unsure of your spring rates, check with the manufacturer of your springs. They are most likely a progressive rate spring and should be fine with Koni Yellows... if that's what you're going for. Otherwise, springs are realitively inexpensive (when comparing with the cost of shocks).
I have a ProKit with Koni single adjustables on a CRX. Works fine so far.

I'm answering this as a novice to tuning, so please take my advice with a grain of salt.

It depends on what type of coil-over sleeves you buy.

Ground-control sleeves use 2.5" ID springs if thats what you're asking. The springs are cheap ($55/ea) anyways and easy to find used, so thats what i'd use.

Are you talking about the KG/MM racing springs? If so you would need to use these with a coilovers sleeve and YES the 60mm ID will fit on ground controls because I used some 8kg, 60mm i.d. on my GC's.

Sorry if my original post was unclear. I was wondering about the physical size of the spring being able to work properly with the konis. IT's also great to know I can use them on GC sleeves. Thanks 6g.

Well if your talking about the Formula series springs you will need some sort of coilover sleeve to make them work. If you are going with the DR21 series or the S21 series, both will be fine to work with Koni's.
