CTR's are gonna give you the highest compression in a LS/VTEC motor, so I am told.

Boba- whos just relaying info on this topic.

I believe delSol pistons are the same one used in the Civic Si, since it is the same engine.

I think that the CTR pistons would give you the higher compression. Maybe around 12.2:1. I don't know for sure though. That would give you some serious power with the right air/fuel tuning.

Depending on what head and what crank you use, and other variables including headgasket, milled head, etc., your compression will vary.

Assuming you have a stock B16 head, not milled, a stock LS block, not decked and a 3 layer OEM headgasket, your compression ratios will be CLOSE to these:

US ITR
10.8:1

JDM ITR
11.3:1

US Del Sol
11.3:1

JDM Del Sol
11.6:1

CTR
12.4:1

these are approximate figures. add about .09 to your compression if you go w/ a .25mm oversized.

or **** it, go w/ 12.5:1 Endyn Rollerwaves. Best piston on the market, hands down. Yes, 12.5:1 is fine w/ 16 degrees timing and 93 octane. With the rollerwaves, that is.
