Default '91 Integra exhaust

Hey fellas,

This is my first venture into this Integra forum, & I'm here because I'm trying to help out a fellow firefighter I work with. He needs @least a new muffler, if not an entirely new exhaust on his '91 Integra. He's an older guy, so doesn't need any hardcore performance parts. I was simply trying to h00k him with a good vendor who can sell him a nice "OEM type" exhaust, or a non-ricey aftermarket exhaust. He wouldn't mind getting something aftermarket for about the same price that he'd pay for an exhaust through a local muffler shop. Subtle note, subtle looks are what he wants. He doesn't want a p.o.s. type exhaust that you'd get at Midas or the like. Any thoughts?

Thanks guys.

I'd try looking for an RSR cat back in the classifieds.

I like the RS*R too, but how does a 4" tip look stock?

Greddy sp. Quiet, great fit, and easy to find.

Apex world sport too, if they make one for that car, those are really quiet, and a bit cheap too. Average for about 380+ new

the black muffler and quiet exhaust note are hardly noticebale, meaning it looks/sounds more like a stock systgem compared to 9 out of 10 aftermarket setups.

make sense?

If thats what you want....
Take a hacksaw to the greddy tip, and spraypaint the unit with barbeQue flat black paint. Then it will truely look like stock.

I'm pretty sure an oem replacement at a muffler shop, including piping, should run about $150. You can't get a decent aftermarket brand for that price, unless its used, which will require some searching. I'm assuming he wants one ASAP, so I would just recommend a POS muffler from Midas. How POS can those things be? If they only last 5yrs, thats still probably longer than the life left in the integra.
