I am about to get a set of P1 dampers (used). What springs rates can be used on these? There are two versions, one is black and one has a red shock casing, not sure which one I am getting. Black shell cased one is steel bodied, red one is aluminium body. Is there any other difference between the two, and how do these compare to Racing Spec Dampers? Any more info on these?

The black ones are for N1 regulation. The Aluminum anodized ones are the actual P.1s. They have differnt settings.

 

Pretty sure I'm getting the normal (red) ones. How does these compare to the Racing Spec Dampers?

 

Much lighter and wide range for tunability. Quality is also a major difference the two.

Looks like I will be getting Race Spec as well, the P1s I was looking at were only height adjustable :S

Can you maintain stock ride height with BC RS dampers? Most people would lower their car with coilovers, but Australian roads are generally pretty crap
