All good helmets pass the Snell set of tests. This all the crash rating you need to know.

Yeah i understand the SNELL test, but then i was wondering if there's anything extra. Because i've seen 100 dollar helmets with Snell2000 and then i've seen 1000dollar ones. I was just curious to know if the 1000 dollar one would protect better than the 100 dollar one. Like someone told me "the head is the most important part of your body, buy the best for it"

Thanks for the link

That's it as far as tests go. The difference in prices come with features, warranties, etc. Some are made of fiberglass, others of lightweight carbon kevlar. Some have removable liners for washing, some don't. Some are made to accept head restraints, prewired for radios, fitted with air intakes, or just have passive air vents, others are aerodynamically designed for open cars. You also pay for the name. You'll pay more for an Arai helmet than a Beiffe.
