Default Civic with ITR head, ITBs, etc, dynoed

engine mods:
B16A2 block
ITR head
stock ITR cams
JE 12.5:1 cr
Eagle rods
TWM ITBs
Spoon 4-2-1 header
Spoon N1 exhaust
Haltech e6k ECU

OMG, flames coming out of the exhaust with normal fuel, DAMN is that mother ****** loud, the guys at the dyno shop was like and was surprised from the power.

With the short SPOON tranny which is installed it goes like baaaam, baaaaam ,baaaam, baaaaaaam.

210bhp @ 7800 rpm, while car weighting only 750 Kg (1650lbs) .
That are 131bhp per litre displacement

Just wating on some Advan RG 8x15 inch rims for 210ish Slick and corner weighted JIC Magic FLT A2 coilovers......the austrian autoX cup is starting on 20th of April.

What do you think on those numbers with stock cams......I guess with some stage 2 cams of JUN/Toda/Skunk2 there are about 20hp easily to make.

BTW: Equal VW engines which are also driving in the cup have only 185hp but with more mods too.

210 BHP? You went to an engine dyno or a chassis dyno? That's roughly 174-179hp at the wheels.
I'd be quite impressed if that's 210 wheel hp on a b16 with stock ITR cams.

our dynos can calculate the lost in drive train. Wheel power + lost in drivetrain = bhp.

Every one in Europe knows the US claimed HP numbers are a bit more than ours. MAybe the elevation?

hmmm, very nice, but that 7300 peak sounds aweful low, like the ign timing map is not peaking where cams peak. You'd expect a flat curve from 6200 to 8400 with itr cams and ITBs with spoon head. You can prolly pull more out of that thing. what kind of torque figures ?

how good was the tuner wiht haltech ? figure australian made engine mangement with austrlian tuner should work good ...

read my sign baby

The Haltech tuner is pro.....did more than 40 cars with it.

peak h/p on stock ITR engine is like 7800 or so. No it is only 1.6 litre....the cams are the bottleneck in the whole system I guess

our dynos can calculate the lost in drive train. Wheel power + lost in drivetrain = bhp.
So its CRANK hp.

I recently tuned a b16a that made about 200 crank hp on the stock manifold.

really? What was the setup? Did it have a really worked head? On a stock TB too? I've got a b16a2 that's semi built. Actually, I think you did work on the car. It's Bryan Sprinkel's old hatch. I want to get some more power out of it but could use some help with tuning. I don't know much about ignition maps. I have a hondata stage 4. It would be cool if you could IM me on here...I've got some questions. Thx.

ITB`s seem to be very hard to tune, I think... 210hp at crank is low in my eyes... or let me say it this way: I`d have expected more after reading down the specs..
But keep up working... things will get better.

that's kinda ignorant and seems to be based off absolutely no knowledge. Mine still has more left in it with some more tuning but I have 115 ft/lbs of tq right now.

you have it backwards, b16a will make more peak HP than an ITR or any B18 motor ... so if an ITR peaks at 7800 then a b16a usually tops that by a good 500-700 rpm ...

last b16a I tuned made 197hp at the wheels ... thats 230+BHP ... had Toda ITBs and Toda Spec D cams ... at 9600rpm the curve had just started to come down ...

Jesus, all that money and it only made 197whp? I'm not downing you as a tuner at all...that's tite you made almost 200whp with 1.6L. Seem's like kinda a waste tho...I mean, 2L woulda netted 240whp+.

The short stroke and good r\s ratio make the motor able to breath so well at high rpm without major port\manifold work. Good chit.

actually he wasnt allowed to change motor in his del sol, it was stock P30 pistons .... some road racing class he does ... he was very happy with the results, he spent about $3500 total if i remember cause he got all his parts in hong kong and brought it back to install in his car ... he also has the new M3 bmw, hint hint he doenst care about money ... and yes I advised him to go alternate motor with much more power ... but I'm merely the installer/tuner, I do what customers want not what I want

still gotta admit, close to 200 on a stock bottom and milled head aint bad at all ...

shity peak hp is woth NOTHING. This car is all out AutoX and needs good power in mid range and not more than 1.6 litre to stay in the class up to 1.6 litre

And I bet my turbo ITR when I go to an US dyno I will hit 230bhp, since the numbers Europe VS USA are off. Don't ask me why, but you can see the difference in all the stock dynoed ITRs we have. Not ONE ITR has more than 156whp on a dyno in Europe while you US guys have never lower numbers than 162 or something...and note, we have 11.1:1 cr.
