dc2 tail light question
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo, don't do it. I have a really nice conversion that i know most of my 97 up friends with integras would love to have but they don't want to buy 94 tail lights. First, the color is amber, not yellow, second i'll post a pic of my tail lights tomarrow night. please don't do anything until you see this pic. It cost me nothing all i did was drill a hole in the turn light housing and move the bulb from the corners into the turn signal and now it looks dope as hell.
another alternative is to get a vinyl sticker shop to cut you a piece of red clear vinyl sticker to the size n shape of the amber portion. That way its entirely removable later if u don't liek it. plus it should cost u more than 10 bucks at the very most.

This is what the turn signal looks like when it's flashing.

eh? You removed the smallest bulb on the far ends, and put them in the signal part? please explain better.......
Lucky me, i got ukdm tail lights which have clear signals...but shine orange because i have an orange bulb in there. When i had the 94-97 tail lights, use the testers candy apple red spray.....Only problem with that is over time it fades, and looks gay IMO! Just leave it orange...you can tell people its "JDM" lol

[that would annoy me to all hell if i was behind you at night, like baaadly **** me off[/QUOTE]
I could understand you getting pissed off if the image were true to real life but it's not really bright. My camera is really shitty, but to give you an idea of how bright it is, turn on your parking lights look at your tail lights and your turn signals would be 2/3 as bright.

Maybe a little OT.
Why does the US cars want to use red turn signals? I am just curious. I think most of other countries use yellow. If in a situation where a red turn signal car is half blocked by another car, and you see a red light is blinking, how do you distinguish if he tap frequently on the brakes or want to change lane? Why not just to make it more easy for people to distinguish?

Its not nessesarily that U.S. wants them red. Just people's opinion. Study have showed that turn signal color other than red causes less chance of accidents as well. I like my 94 tail lights.
Simply form over function. Looks cleaner (cant argue w/ that), but sacrifices teh visibility and effectiveness.
Maybe a little OT.

The amber looks so much better at night and in the day, no question. And if anyone here ever say JDM, the law in japan requires that all cars have amber turn signals.
