JDM Type R cams VS. USDM Type R cams?

JDM Type R cams VS. USDM Type R cams?
I see alot of people like to switch to JDM Type R cams, Why is this? Are they Different? Do they make more power? What? I am curious.

All Type R exhaust cams are the same.
96-97 JDM/97-99 USDM (and CDM) ITR = same intake cam
98+ JDM/CTR = same intake cam (3 degrees more duration than above cams)
00-01 USDM ITR = similar to 98+ JDM/CTR intake cam
