ok just confirm this for me...
I have a 97 civic EX and I plan on buying and swapping in a b18c1, within a few months.
Since I already have vtec I can just use the current wiring harness, right? No re-wiring needed....and Its just straight bolt in w/ some new mounts (a/c, rear tranny, and the driver side mount). Oh yeah , and I know I have to extend the primary o2 sensor wires, too.
...correct?
(Yeah I woulda searched but we all know its not working well right now)
Thanks a lot

I was going to try and order one from 96-98 so the obd would match perfectly (nothing newer than 98 so not to get obd2.5/obd2b)

It doesnt matter if it is newr than 98 unless you are talking about the ecu. You are going to have to do some wiring regardless. You will need to add the knock sensor plug and IAB sol. plug. Then the necessary changes to make it look nice and pretty. I am not sure on the ex harnesses, I have never messed with those, but on the dx harness you have to modify the ecu plug pins for the IACV,ie. move the a14 pin to a12.
