Default H22 vs. H23 Tranny

I'm just wondering what kinds of pros and cons I'd run into If I ran an H22 tranny on my Si. I'm just confused as to how each are geared. Also, what if I ran my H23 tranny with an H22 motor, Would this slow me down?
Does anybody have timeslips or any other info regarding their experience with these setups?

I don't think it will.. I know that the h22 tranny is one of the beefiest tranny honda makes.. well just the casing.. but the h23 tranny might be the same tranny.. but i'm not sure.. i havne't heard of any problems with it..

these are the gear ratios
H23 - H22 -
1st 3.31 1st 3.31
2nd 1.86 2nd 1.95
3rd 1.32 3rd 1.36
4th 1.03 4th 1.07
5th .81 5th 0.87
I have a h23 tranny on my h22, and honestly i like it better the gearing feels better. no time slips from before/after. it shouldnt slow you down..

Thanks for the responses.
So basically, I won't be turning out better timeslips with an H22 tranny
and a H22 motor With a H23 tranny won't be slowing me down in the quarter?

Also, in fifth gear on the freeway which tranny will Idle lower?

An H23 tranny on an H22a engine will defintely slow you down. Look at the gear ratios

what about freeway cruising?
and the H22 tranny is not really worth the investment unless I got a H22 motor to back it up huh?

h23 is gonna give you a better top speed due to ratio aka lower rpm at highway speeds, it is designed to use the low end power of the h23 motor, vs the h22 tranny, better suited for the high rpm power of the h22 vtec

so if i plan on really building and boosting the H23, I should just stick with the H23 tranny?
