I just put an b18a1 in my 92 vx hatchback. Now it will not go in to gear. The clutch is not working right? It will start but it will not go in to gear. any ideas. I had to change it from hydro to cable but the swap came with the kit. Also the one doing the swap is really good with cars but not much on hondas. If he messed anything up he will fix it b/c his son his my bestfriend so dont say he is screwing me i just need some help.

 

Re-Bleed the clutch lines. The slave might be bad, but try pushing the clutch in and have someone watch the slave to see if it is moving the fork back and forth. Does the pedal seem right, or does it feel really spongy?

 

Thanks-- that is what he said he was going to check the slave. no the clutch doesnt feel right. it is almost all the way to the floor. I hope that is it b/c the guy is goin out of town this weekend so if it doesnt get fixed tomorrow then it will be there until next week. Also what will happen if he used the old wire harn on the new engine. I know the check engine light will be on but will it run bad.
