Default is there a difference between obd1 and obd2 ecu for prelude?

I am in search for a 96, h23, prelude ecu. I wanted to know if there are 2 different ecus for a 4th gen lude. I didn't know if the ecu was different for obd1 and obd2. And is an ecu the same for an auto and manual? Thanks for the help.
