Default LS rods in D series, benefits?

Okay, I am looking over my options, I have a blown z6, and i am thinking of what I want to do. Now I know LS rods cam be made to fit, but what do you gain out of it? Just handle more power, you get any more tourque, top end, what?

they are mode beefier. stronger.. not really any power gains at all..some people claim a few pnds of tq more in low end... u just make sure when u really put power to the engine that it will not blow as easy....

you have to use aftermarket pistons with them, they are also lighter than forged rods but can't handle as much boost
