a/c system not hot nor cold??
im having issues with my air conditioning system...first, the air that it blows out is not hot or cold, even if i change the temperature setting, seems like it's just air from the outside coming in from the fan. another, when i switch from off to 1 or 2 on the climate control system, nothing happens....but when i turn it to 3 and 4, it works normally...what can be the problem?? i need a/c and in louisiana...i can not stand it without a/c...help me out guys...thanks agp
so your getting cold air when you switch it to 3 and 4? or is the temp the air blows out changing? if that's the case - check to see if your compressor is coming on, if it is - have your AC recharged
well....when i said normally, i meant that air comes out....switches 1 and 2 dont work but 3 and 4 work fine....still not hot or cold....sorry bout that bro
Well first your A/C probably needs to be recharged thats probably why the temp is like it is. As for your next problem with 1 and 2 not working I would be 99.999% sure that it would be your blower motor resistor. Its a little resistor that is behind your glove box that has 2 phillip screws holding it into the blower motor housing. Also it has a wire harness going into it. If you replace that I would almost gaurantee that your problem would be fixed. The part is about $25 bucks from Honda.
*EDIT* Another thing that you can check is that when you turn on your A/C make sure that the compressor clicks on. If it doesnt either the pressuse in the lines is too low or too high (you would have to figure out why on both accounts, if its low you could obviously have a leak if its high there could be a clog) but if it is too high or low there is a sensor in the A/C system that moniters this and it will make sure that the compressor doesnt engage so it doesnt wreck your compressor. You could try if it isnt clicking on to hard wire it to see if the compressor is even working or not if it is you would have to figure out the problem from there.

Oh so you cant get heat either?? Well then what that could be is if you look under your hood towards the firewall there will be the controls for the hot and cold selector. It a plastic piece that has the heater hoses going into it and there is a valve in it see if the cable is still attached to it and also maybe try moving it by hand to see if it moves (there will be like a lever on top where the cable should slide onto) And this piece is also bolted to the firewall as well I will see if I can find a pic of it for you.
