crack in windshield
I just noticed a crack in my windshield today, it started from below the wipers.
I'm guessing the 60 degree weather to the 20 degree weather caused it a crack more.
What can I do to stop the crack, until I can get it fixed?

try taking it to one of those free chip repair places and have them inject the crack with the clear bonding solution. That might stop it. Also you could try keeping your car in a the garage or maybe putting towels around the crack then putting a car cover over top?
If the crack extends to the edge, it will need to be replaced. If it its a relatively small crack, you might be able to fix it yourself by buying a repair kit at an auto parts store. If you don't want to do either, but still want to stop the crack, you'll have to drill a hole at the sharp ends to stop the "propagation", but don't drill completely through. Just enough to round out the outter ends.
It depends on how big it is. My windshield got hit by a gravel shortly after I bought it. I noticed taht it was just a chip, and realized it had potential to become a large crack, so I took a little dab of super glue and put in it. It's gone like that for over a year, and the chip has not gotten bigger.
