92-95 Civic owners w/ Sparco seats/brackets/sliders
I've been offered a very good deal on a Sparco Pro2000 seat, side mounts, and TRW/Sabelt 6 point harness; all never used. I've already sat in the seat, in and out of a car, and it fits me well and is fairly comfortable so I think it will work out fine in my daily driver / autocross car. I will most likely not see any road racing until next year or after and if I do, I'll get a roll bar/cage installed.
Anyway, for 92-95 Civic owners with similar set-ups, did the Sparco brackets/sliders raise the seat, lower it, or about the same? My helmet already brushes the headliner in my sunroof-equipped car and if the Sparco equipment adds much to that, it's not going to work so great. But on the other hand, I may sit lower in the Sparco than I do the stock (Integra) seat.
Any other comments would be appreciated. I'm flopping around way too much w/ stock seats and think it would be a great way to improve my times and let me focus on my driving moreso than I am already.

It really depends on the bracket but my Pro2000 in my cx still gives me plenty of room for me and my helmet. I’m 6'3 and even with the sliders its lower then stock. I’m currently using a bracket from Speedware and I’m really pleased with the design but you will have to slightly mod the sliders to use the sidemounts.
Edit.... The lower pad is really thick so I usually pull it out to drop the seating position even more.

jfyi, the sparco bottom bracket (that mounts the sliders to the floor) is the biggest piece of **** ever made. do a seach, it is junk. i make my own. best bet is to have a buddy with a welder come over and fab one up for you, or have a local fabrication place do the work. trust me, it is junk. do not bother with it. the rest of the sparco stuff is great though.
