Default ZC vs. Si Tranny (Turbo Application)

Just wondering which tranny would be better for a turbo setup?

Reason I'm asking is, I have the opportunity to pick up both, and wanted to know which transmisson would be better suited for turbo.

Edit: Also, which axels do I use with the corresponding transmissions?

I too, thought they were the same. The gearing on the ZC (1-4)is shorter but the final drive is longer. While the Si's gears (1-4) are a little longer but have higher final drive.

well I can help with the axle info....the ZC uses a intermediate shaft so use 90-91 integra axles. so you must have a SI, DX, EX or teg front hubs, If you have a STD/HF axles will not go thru. Si you can use any 4 gen axles but it depends on the outer CV and hub combos. HF/STD are smaller

The Si gearbox is geared slightly higher (less rpm at a given speed) while the zc is a bit buzzy at highway speeds. Mine tached at 4k RPM = 70 MPH. I went back to the SI and it tachs at 3.k RPM = 70 MPH. If you want a quick launch add the SI final drive to ZC and it will be really quick off the line but will be taching very high at highway speeds. I have not ever run a turbo but i understand it likes a taller gear (lower RPM) but thats only what I have read on this site. Anybody know for sure.

however with the higher r's your eliminating a lot of potential turbo lag

That being said I guess I'll go with the Si tranny...
