My 99 GSR just did something weird. When I turn the key to ON, it beep 5 times (or 6 give or take). I tried it a couple times and it would beep every single time I turn the key to ON. Then I drove my car back home and tested it again and it stopped beepping. I called Acura customer care and they don't know anything about this beeping. Does anyone know what the beeping means?

 

do you have a factory alarm? it might have something to do with that.

 

your accessory fuse could be blown check the fuses under your dash its either the ignition fuse or most likely acc fuse

I checked all the fuse and they seem fine.

The car will run fine, but just that it is weird how it would beep 6 times. It also seems like when the car is cold, it will beep. When the car is hot, it will stop beeping.

 

In US cars, the beeping occurs when you don't have your safety belts fastened. If they are fastened and you turn the switch from ACC to ON, it won't beep.
