Open Track Challenge
Don't know if anyone here is familiar with it, but this weekend kicks off the second running of the Open Track Challenge. Last year these was a single S2000 entry, this year there are 4, competing across 3 different classes.
Dave Kennedy and I will be competing in "Unlimited 2" in his track-tuned, supercharged, and slick-tired silverstone.
Rylan Hazelton (and a gaggle of codrivers) will be competing in "Unlimited 3" in a similarly equipped but non-supercharged silverstone.
Charles and Marlene Fletcher, veterans of last year's OTC, will be competing in Touring 3, in what appears to be a basically stock New Formula Red S2000.
Doug Hayashi, Erik Messley, and I will also be competing in Touring 3, in Doug's slightly modified Red S2000.
The Touring cars will compete on tires with a treadwear rating of 140 or higher and must be driven between all tracks. Unlimited cars can be trailered and run tires of any origin.
The event starts this Sunday in Pahrump, NV and concludes the following Saturday in Las Vegas. Click here for a listing of all the tracks we'll be running and when. This should be a lot of fun, with some pretty serious hardware in attendance.
