Default ZC tranny on d16z6 block?

Will this work?

The Zc tranny has 3 mouting points for a midshaft for use of equal length to reduce torque steer.

I want to know if the d16z6 has 3 mounting points (under the oil filter) for bolting of the midshaft

Heres a pic of the zc block

SOmeone is selling a hybrid ZC tranny and i want to jump on the opporutinity if it will work on a d16z6

"You can't just use regular Si axles with the tranny either unless you replace
the differential with an Si one. "
i got this from the email of the guy whos selling the tranny

I am pretty sure it doesn't , but you can still use the ZC tranny , just use the d-series axles. one short and one long.

ok heres the deal

The JDM Z6 which is a sohc ZC vtec has the mounting holes and they are threaded for the intermidiate shaft I use this set up. The intermidiate shaft is NOT the same as the one that goes on the dohc ZC the bracket has a angle on it that is different.

The local Z6's(usdm z6) THAT I HAVE seen have the holes but they are not threaded for the bolts.

The local A6 blocks have the holes and are threaded.

and yeah you have to use 90-91 teg axles...thats what I use

you might get lucky...if the motor is in the car just jack up the car and use a finger or a bolt and see honda does some weird things sometimes.

There was no need to thhread the us motors as the cars were assembled here
and the 92+civics didn't use the 3piece axles

but check anyways

from what I have seen...no

you can swap out the ZC diff for the Si diff and then run Si axles. the only thing is you will induce some torque steer.

Default Did that a few years back

The Z6 (93 I think) I had only had 2 holes and a dimple for the one over the oil gallery, and neither of the holes had threads. Drilled and tapped and the black-top ZC intermediate shaft fit right. Don't drill the dimple too deep, or you're Jed Clampett. Use 90-93 Integra axles, remove hub rings and outer rubber ring.

you can use the mounting bracket of the 86-89 Integra but only 2 of 3 mounting points will work

the top half of the bracket will have to be hacked off and the bottom 2 holes will work with the USDM block

I have pics i scored off of FF squad of what im talking about

Post Email addy and i can send you pics

Trust me you should just check your block for the holes...don't rely on everyone else for this or you are setting yourself up for dissapointment...you'll go buy the tranny then find out this and that doesn't line up or you gotta tap this...then you'll be pissed
