I posted this in ITR forum but would care for any opinions, my tranny in my car has an issue right now and I have one of two options. Repair my spare b16a hydro tranny which needs a new case bearing and 3-4 syncro set & add a quafe lsd, or because I work for honda I have the option to buy a new ITR tranny. I would pay a little more (about 700 smakers) but I needed the better gearing and desperately needed the lsd. So I'm asking how good are the two types of lsd's. I plan to run auto x and a trip to the drag's now and then to see how well tuning helps. To those that run auto X, how to you like the stock ITR lsd or have you switched to quafe. Thanks for any insight.

 

Since you are not in any sort of competition now, go with whats cheap and easy. Just by the ITR trans.

Daily driving...j/k. Here in Tucson I only know of one event a month that you can run auto x. More often you can run at the drag strip, but I dont care a hole lot for the drags though I've only been there once and would go again sometime just to improve on times and after tuning, so to answer the question, hopefully auto x if I can find more events in town or in PHX.

 

Between Tucson, Phoenix, and Sierra Vista there are three SCCA events per month in AZ plus some NASA autocross events in the Phoenix area. Let me know if you need more info.
