I did a mini me swap a while back(d16y7 97 civic dx block but with a 98ex vtec head and IM) and i think it was liam831? that posted a picture of where i wire the vtec stuff too. I had made a printout of it but can't find it now and i was wondering if anyone might have it, i searched on here but my old posts weren't found. btw my car is an auto ( )

I had originally used a 98ex wire harness but after some problems with it i put my dx back in and stripped the wires i needed from the EX harness. I have them wired up but not sure if i put them in the right spot cause when i hooked my ex ecu up last night my idle went crazy, but i think it might be cause i wired the knock sensor to the wrong spot(and the engine retards if its not found)

and another question

i wired up the knock sensor but theres a brown colored plug a little above the ecu plugs. what is that for? one of the knock sensor wires on the ex harness was on that brown connector but in its spot on the dx harness there is a wire already there. can i splice that wire and wire in the knock sensor or is it not really needed there?
