smoked tail lights
i got a question.... search seems dead 4 some reason...
anywyas..... have u guys noticed that a lot of 00 Si's around got the stock tails with a smoked color or coat on the tails? is that painted, coated, smoked or what...... its like the stock tail with a dark tint to them!
how can that be done? i was windering if those are some tailights that are sold like that , or people actually did them....
any inputs and pics welcomed

I used a spray on tint, I think the brand was Foliatec

Nice job Carlo, it really adds the perfect touch to your car. I think I may do the same. You said you used Foliatec, is that a good brand or are there others out there that are better. WHere do you pick up a bottle of something like that? Also I'm from CT, near the shoreline. We gotta meet up some time.

I bought the can from a honda dealership in Manchester, CT. I think it cost around 20-30 dollars but the finish is practically permanent and you only need one can.

with mine, i did all red. it got stolen before i could take any pictures of it. but all i did was buy tinted glass spray and sprayed over on the outside of the tail lights.
to get it shiny, (wait a few days though for it really to dry) i got 3M rubbing compound and got all the dust and stuff off. you buff it unil it's shiny. some of the paint will come off but it looks good after it's done.
