Default Pulling Tranny and D16z6 Swap

hey all,
i'm pulling my block and tranny from my 90 hatch. i'm gonna put in a d16z6 and reuse my si tranny, and was wondering how i get the shift linkage out. i pulled the block out and left the tranny in. is there a possibility to leave the tranny mounted and bolt up the z6 to it? or do i have to pull the tranny and do it while its out?

also, when i do the obd1 conversion, is there a way where i can just make the jumper harness and not worry about any engine rewiring besides the wires from the ecu? any helpful sites on the conversion?

Also to help u with ur problem.. I just did a ZC swap in my CRX and I could never get that shift linkage off (search for topics about the bitch pin) so I just said **** it and left it connected.. pulled the motor with the shift linkage still connected, swapped the Si tranny onto the ZC with the shift linkage still connected, put the ZC in the car with the shift linkage still connected.. its not hard at all, just unbolt the linkage from the shifter. Obviously, it'll only work if you're gonna be re-using your same tranny tho.

All it takes is an 8mm pin punch to get off the shift linkage...for future reference

do i just punch it from the bottom?
i just pretty much striped the block down to nothing but the bare block to get it out with the tranny still in.

anyone know about the conversion harness pin layout? any sites i can go to? i know hasport has a layout, but i also need to know about the engine wiring, if that needs to change any
