why does my motor whistle?!?!

well i have a 96 civic dx hatchback and when i get on the throttle, i start to hear a whistling noise coming from the engine. this only happens like past 3k. can anyone tell me whats wrong? thanx for any help

do you have a shortram intake of any kind? or cold air? AEM...ebay something etc... Those tend to create some whistling type noises.

either your car is supercharged, you have a CAI, or you have a small leak in your exhaust/intake

Some Intake Manifold whistle, and High Flow Fuel Pumps make a high tone as well.
