Default tranny grinds going into reverse

i know that most tranmissions dont use a syncro for the first or reverse but wanted to make sure this was the case for a '90 CRX Si. If so what part of the transmission do i need to buy (if possible) in order to fix this situation?

and no, its not me grinding. i can usually get a tranny not to grind even though others always grind a bad tranny so i know this one is really bad!

my car does the same thing man. and even my dads accord. i doubt its really a big deal, and if your going to fix it id suggest simply waiting till its convenient like replacing a clutch or some other time when the tranny is dropped.

this is just an occasional problem right?

mine grinds reverse.
i have to put it into second then first usualy to get it in reverse.

and sometimes 1st-2nd if i shift at the rev limiter it grinds like a mother ****** then peels out into second really hard[i know it hurts but damn my fastest runs were like this].

its hard to get into first some times when coming up to a stop sign so i just wait till im fully stopped to put it in first but even then i gotta put it in realy slow but with some force.

yup...it happens. try to adjust your clutch cable. that can either make it better or worse depending on the way you turn it, so make sure you try both ways. i adjusted mine and it doesn't do it anymore.

omg... heh. the 'putting it into second first and then reverse' worked like a charm. i would have never figured that one out. thanx for the tip!

i'll also try adjusting the clutch cable to see if that helps.

ahaha...mines does that too. i have to go to 2nd sometimes to get into first. sometimes, i even have to take off in 2nd coz it just won't go into first. and when i race, my tranny grinds 1-2, 2-3, even 3-4 if i don't do it right. i need to rebuild my tranny again...aye
