Default FS: custom fiberglass 4g sub enclosure

Fiberglass subwoofer enclosure- for a 4th gen, tucks in driver side corner of trunk. Holds a single 10" sub as is. ~.9 cubic feet airspace. Front baffle is fully replaceable, and can be adapted to fit an 8" speaker. Grey carpet, saves a lot of space. Currently loaded with Image Dynamics IDQ10 DVC wired to produce a 2 ohm load. Enclosure: $150+shipping. IDQ10: $50+shipping. Both $200 shipped.

Here are some pics. The first two are NOT my car or my subwoofer (they belong to user ME), but his trunk is a lot cleaner than mine and his pics look better. I've built several of these now (5 or 6), and the one I'm selling is the last one I built (so its the nicest I've built). The one I'm selling looks a little "smoother" on the top right corner because of a different construction technique, and the subwoofer is flush mounted into the front baffle. The last 4 pics are of the actual enclosure you would be buying during construction (still working on getting some finished pics).

just make your own. They are really easy. I have 2 tens in my trunk, and pics to go with it. If you wanna see let me know, or maybe I can get them uploaded to imagestation and I can post them on here.

Why didn't you recarpet the sub enclosure, the whole thing so it looks all uniform?

Oh, I wanna show off my fiberglass enclosure too! This is a 3rd gen Prelude though.

I would pay $150 for that enclosure any day. Working with fiberglass is not rocket science but it is not that damn easy either. Takes some trial and error to get it right. It is really easy however to ruin your paint, carpeting or anything you accidentally get resin on. $150 for the enclosure is pretty cheap.

Dunno. I think about turning it back on a lot. Actually talked to the ISP this week and they will give me a fat deal on hosting. Just not 100% sure I want to mess with it. It is a lot of work for no money and very few people ever help out. But nonetheless I do miss it.

Yeah, I remember seeing those pics on HP.com. I've thought about doing something similar in a 4th gen, but funds are low (hence the selling of current projects).

I hear you. I am actually mainly reviving the Prelude so I can sell my 2002 Tundra that I can't afford the payments on. Being out of work sucks on so many levels. It is nice driving a car with a decent system again. Now if I can just afford to paint my POS.

oh yeah, I can make it fit any size you want, well probably not a 15, but I have tens in my 4th gen, and my friend has 8's, they are easy to fit. I think I could make one for 12's, well, yeah I know I could, be a bit more work, but the 10's sound great, let me tell you. Let me see if I can get a link to work.

I've done one similar to that as well, in both 10 and 12 inch versions:
