You can race all you want dude, most likely the tranny is gonna blow the **** up anyway, so... If you're under warranty it's better to destroy it now (or tell them it's acting funny; they probably won't quibble about it and if you bitch enough they'll give you a new one and upgrade to the newer parts) than after you heavily modify anything and Honda won't touch it afterwards. Also, are you N/A or (soon to be) boosted? It doesn't matter, but the SS will fall apart quicker if it's subject to boost.
If I'm correct dude, redline on the SS is 7400 rpms, and with the rpm creep in that tranny you'll hit the rev limiter if you cut it too close so don't shift too late.

 

no ive brought it up to 8000 before, but jsut once, for fun. no boost, just wondering. do you think they would every let me get a MT if my AT blew? (under warranty)

 

No dude, sorry but there's not a chance in Hell of that happening. That question has been asked before by peeps who unfortunately <U>did</U> blow the SS tranny, and the dealership service departments laughed their asses off. You can get your SS tranny fixed and/or upgraded with the newer SS parts (that supposedly came out after Honda stopped making the damn things), but that's about it.

 

So your saying that I could still be underwarranty with the mods I have now??
