Don't get mad. I did a search for this, but got no real answers. So this is what happened...I was gettin on the interstate the other week, went to shift into 3rd gear and the gas pedal went to the floor, but no acceleration, downshifted into 2nd same thing happened gas pedal went to floor, but no acceleration. Car was still running when I pulled over, so I shut it off. Since I shut it off, it hasn't cranked since. It wants to but doesn. I have checked the timing belt, timing is good, it has spark, fuel pump cuts on, it has gas, and there are no blown fuses. What do I do, or look for now? Somone please help. So, car was idling when you pulled over and when you hit the gas, it did nothing? Or did the gas peddle hit the floor?

 

When it didn't go anywhere in 2nd or 3 rd then your clutch went bad.Now that it doesn't start at all I think your problem might be the distributor.Hope it works out.

 

did u check your throttle cable it could be that
