Default Oil Pan and Turbo

I was about to buy a Moroso Oil pan pretapped for turbo drain, but I read a post in regards to a Mugan buffled oil pan. In the post a lot of people criticize the Moroso oil pan due to the fact that it does not have buffles. This is a concern to me because I do go lapping quite a bit and I would like to get some more opinions in regards to this. What do you guys think???? Also is it possible to weld in buffles into the Moroso oil pan??

Thanks,

Rafal

You can always weld in a baffle setup If it comes w.o them that is gay

I peronally think Moroso is awesome- but I'm a GM guy

Thanks for your replies, but I am still worried that if I take my car to the track with the Moroso pan it will starve the engine of oil in hard turns. Can anyone verify this???

k Ive heard that the moroso pan is more ideal for drag racing/straight line. I read a post somewhere that someone had the moroso on while at a auto-x and on tight turns his oil pressure fell to 0. I dont know thats what ive heard. If you wanna auto-x then i suggest spoon/mugen oil pan. The moroso is the only oil pan I know about that increases the capacity of oil you can add. Im preety sure mugen/spoon are just modified stock pans with the stock oil capacity. Also the moroso is aluminium and that is suppost to cool oil quicker.

Doesn't Moroso offer a Road Race pan for the B-series?

Just buy a mugen/spoon if you want the damn baffles. If your going to auto-x i wouldnt suggest this oil pan.

Yes, but the spoon/mugan pan does not contain more oil like the Morosa pan does and they do not come tapped for turbo. I wanted a solution that would solve all of these problems at the same time.

That's lot to ask, but sure a lot to capitalize on! Hopefully Moroso can react in time. I haven't seen any write ups or articles on Moroso's pan.

having a port weled onto a mugen or spoon oil pan is not that hard. Easier than welding baffles into an aluminum pan I say.

Why would you want to weld port on to the Mugan/Spoon pan??? I thought they already come with buffles. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to just weld some buffles on to the Moroso pan since it can hold more oil it would be great overall improvement.

mugen/spoon pans do come with baffles. But to me it would be easier to weld a port onto a mugen/spoon pan than to weld baffles into a mororso.

Up to you.

What are you guys taking about? The Morso pan has a baffle, I have one. It's got a "swing gate" on it too that prevents (turbo) hot return oil from being short-cycled in the pan during hard acceleration (forward). I've been auto-xing my car for two years, never had a problem (from the pan).
