Please Help!!!!!!!!
I have a 94 d16z6 motor I want to put in my 93cx hatch. I pulled the bottom end apart to check the rod bearings. They didn't look to bad but 1 was discolored from getting hot so I desided to just replace then. I know about the color code on the sides but 1 was green and all the others looked Red, Brown, or Black. So I went to the honda dealer and they told me I had to get some numbers and letters off the side of the rod end caps for each rod, and he said there would be a number on the crank. Well I see no number on the crank and all I see on the rod end caps is a M5,M6 and a different dot pattern for each rod. So would someone PLEASE help me out on trying to figure out how to get rod bearings.
the rod number is half on the cap and half on the rod. its on the machined side of the rod. (kind of hard to remember) but i think the crank codes are on each counterweight (i know this isnt the correct term for the big lobe things, but i'm braindead right now) hope this helps
