what exactly have you gutted? taking out your back seats is not gutting your car. you gotta strip everything.

ok, you can take out your AC, get a lightweight battery, carbon fibor anywhere you want, ...........oh and dont forget to take off your front plate THIS IS THE MAJOR ONE!!

nah screw it all, just drive it down to the GHETTO and leave the doors open, when the cops find it in a month or 2, you will have the lightest car ever!!!!

Those are all good answers but you need to start with the basics.
to effectivly reduce the wight of a vehicle you need to first remove the aluminum apc spoiler, combat body kit, 18'' chrome wheels, and those stickers wigh a lot.
You can then move on to the unecessary engine parts, like the exhaust, header, intake (what better way to maximize air flow into and out of the engine) power steering is not required and while your up there remove the front brakes they are redundent because you have rear brakes already.basically remove any redundent part (i.e one headlight, turn signal, wiper etc). then move into the interior everything but the steering wheel, driver seat and shifter goes.windows ahh who needs them, glass wighs a lot. don't forget about the rear bumper cover, that creates a lot of drag...
btw i'm just kidding,
what have you done to your car thus far? why strip it? is all that extra noise and lost comfort worth the 1/10th of a second in the quarter mile. and the extra mpg you get?
