Default Bad fuel pump?

How can you tell if your fuel pump is going bad? Are there any symptoms that slowly take place or will it just stop working without any warning signs?

Default Re: Bad fuel pump? (typer694)

I posted my problem with my car a few weeks ago:

Car would cut off at about 7500rpms and wouldn't go to red line. Did go into VTEC. I was thinking the plugs or distributor possibly. I left it at the dealer and they diagnosed a bad fuel pump. It was fixed under warranty and now the car is back to normal. If you car is doing something similar, it is possible it is the fuel pump.

Hope that helps.
