I'm pretty sure it's potential is just as good as an Accord...
[/QUOTE]yep, every car has potential..but I would think its hard to find after market support for a camry....

I know a guy got the R33 bodykit, it looks alright but not my cup of tea.

i've seen some pretty tight camry's...more of a show car in my eyes...
i saw one that had some really nice 17'' racing harts in white on a black car...had a jdm engine (some toyota v6) and a 75 shot with a bunch of other ****...ran really low 13's if i can remember correctly
very clean car if done right...i like the 2 door models
but they're kinda rare
i know the v6 5 speeds can run high 14's stock

there's this place called EL Prototypes that put a 3sgte (MR2) motor into it, check out their website, http://www.elprototypes.com/
i used to own a 93, it was slow but it looked good and that was good enough for when i was back in high school, insurance didnt really make me feel like making it fast.
if it was a v6 u could get the trd s/c, they have pulleys out now. pretty nice kits.
as for 4 cylinder, the 5s-fe, the 3s-gte oil pan, manifold, and turbo assembly bolt on, pick up an IC and a RRFPR and run a ct-26 low boost setup for fun.
3s-swap is nice but overrated IMO. the guy who had the 3s swap at EL took it out and is building a hybrid motor last i heard. theres a few other 3s swaps around the US, decent but alot of work to move the 3000+lb frame.
theyre mostly slow but definately original if you do it right. they were used in aussie touring races alot.

and of course our very own honda tech tony the tiger (12 sec n/a teg) has a v6 with a custom turbo kit utilizing a supra mark 3 turbo.
