My friend tryed to put a push start button in his ITR and somthing happen he doesnt know what, but he does know that when trying to crank the car with the stock obd2 ecu it will not crank, put the starter rolls over and that's it, but i gave him my obd1 ecu to try that in his car and it cranks right up, so i dont know if he shorted somthing out or what but if you guys have any idea what it could be please help.

 

What year R? One equipped with an immobiliser? Whats wrong with just turning the key???

 

How does your OBD-I ECU plug into an ITR?

 

It is a 2001 ITR and the obd1 has a adp. harness.

 

You just answered your question. Immobiliser is doing its job..

 

Is he sure he did the start button install properly?

 

how do u get around the immobiliser or fix it to make the obd2 run again??

 

He needs to figure out what he broke, and fix it.
