Default My first turbo manifold....be nice 56k watch out

it will be sandblasted, coated and then hidden under sheet metal much like stock turbo cars will be. Enjoy, but realize its my first manifold.

Be nice? Nothing to be rude over. Looks like you did a good job.

FYI, the tractor pull guys block off one of the ports on a split turbine housing to lower the effective AR. I don't think it applies here, but the divided housing mad me think of it.

i thought i was gonna be banished from earth with the looks of it . hahahah shes ugly but i care more about the inside than the outside. I spent ALOT of money on carbide porting tools to get the inside smooth and alot of port matching. wastegate still needs to go on, as well as cut slots in the flange. my next one i wanna copy the kooks manifold and see how it turns out. i bought a bandsaw so i could cut a little better.

if i blocked off one of the inlets it would block off two cylinders. The collector isnt a common collector for all 4 cyl. i paired 1/4 and 2/3 and kept them seperate in their own sides. so each entry is fed by two cylinders.

Looking good...

Takes alot of hard work to make things all line up, but its worth it in the end...plus you can be proud of the fact your own two hands built it!

my KAT will never be a hp production piece in my eyes. I want instant V8torque response type driveability.
actually i have one of dem SR20's as well.....thats the car in the sig.....wanna pic?

its a miller 135 unit. $529 for the unit and another $120 for an auto dark helmet, 140 for 80lb AG/Co2 flux. this is why i couldnt buy the full race mani for the red car. i'm mad about it but oh well.....went out to get a band saw to try and make copies and live my happy life. Having the ability to drive both motors is fun. Neither is better than the other. they are just used in different applications. which s why my KAT will be a daily non downshifting torque monster.

thats looks sweet but just a quick question how are planning on fitting the maf sensor, and the filter, are your planning on runnning a stand alone and convert it to map?

i'll be running standalone. I have a spare Tec II i'll be using.

as a test i wanna get some VE #'s out of the motor so i'll start out with the stock MAFs at low boost then switch once i get an idea of how the motor breathes. but the plan is standalone.
