95 b18c into a 91 crx
I have a 91 CRX DX that I have been running a b16 for 2 years, I wanted to up the anty this year so I dropped a b18c into it. The swap went fine, infact it started up on the first crank, and I do mean the first crank, like 2 seconds (thank you walbro fuel pump). My problem is that it is running too rich, here are some of my mods: skunk 2 intake, 65mm throttle body, AEM fuel pres. reg. and fuel rail,4-1 Header, Quaife LSD, and tons of susp. stuff, but motor is stock. I am at this time OBD 0, future plans I may go to OBD 1. I am running Hondata, and I know I can just burn another fuel map chip but, in all reality my b16 chip should have run the motor with ease, and a little lean maybe in the midrange but all in all should have been fine. I did burn or at least tried to burn a mock b18 chip, just to get it to run better, its not all that easy since there is no such thing as a OBD 0 b18c, so I'm thinkin something else may be wrong. AEM fuel pres. reg comes from the factory at 40 psi, I dropped it back to 35 although a stock GSR runs at about 45psi. I'm sorry for the long letter but just wanted to bring as much critical info to the table as possible. any ideas from the fine people at Honda-Tech?
