Ceramic coated. It was used for about 8 months and is in good shape. It came from the factory w/ some scratches on it, and the first 2-3 threads on the EGR bung were messed up. I got a deal on it so I just kept it as it was. The messed up threads were cut off so I could thread the EGR, and I put a coat of high temp paint on the scratches to keep them fom rusting.
