I'm currently putting my car back to stock and taking the R engine out to sell it soon. I have some catching up to do $$ wise.

I'm wondering what you guys think a decent price is for my engine, because I'll be likely selling it on h-t in a month or so..

Tis a 00 JDM ITR w/ the original 4.7 tranny..

It's been in my civic for a for about 4-5 months, and runs absolutely PERFECT.

I'm kind of hesitant to let it go because it's such a perfect engine. It burns no oil, and I run 5w30 mobil 1 synthetic). Compression is good on all cylinders. I've never heard a single odd noise from it. I drive it every single day. I baby the **** out of this engine. (Valve adjustments every two months, new filter and oil every month, ALWAYS ALWAYS 92-93 octane). The engine is like a mirror because I buffed and cleaned it while it was out of my car. I've put about 5k miles on it since I've had it in my 99 civ. No money has been spared on it as long as I've owned it..

The only things I've done to it is replace the shift rod on the tranny (because it was bent a little bit when I go the engine), and the LSD carrier (because I chipped the original one taking my tranny off to replace the shift rod). Tranny is sealed back up perfectly. I have pics...

This is what it would be coming with, as I would be taking it straight out of the car and selling it:

Complete engine, tranny, shift linkage, axles, brand new 00 Si engine harness, but NO ecu. PS pump, AC pump, 98 spec header (original), rear 00 Si bracket and drivers side bracket (because I sold the originals).

I'm thinking about 4,500 US + shipping. I think this is an excellent price for such a good engine, and you KNOW what you'd be getting because I have pictures of everything. I'll also give a copy of my original reciept of when I purchased it from inlinefour.com for 6,000$, and I'll make a new reciept for my sale of it.

great price...someone with a civic should pick this up........is it just me, but why doens't the engine read B18C5....looks like there is something covering up the 5. Not doubting the engine, just seems weird.

 

Because it's a JDM ITR motor. The USDM ITR engine code is B18C5, JDM ITR motor is just B18C I believe..

 

how many miles are on the engine...whats the compression?

 

Stock JDM ITR motor should be aprx. 11:1 compression..

 

4500 is a good price. Where are you located? If I could sell my GSR swap I'd be all over that!
