best all around model?????
alright what is the best all around model right now, our of the 93-96 prelude vtec, 97-98 prelude vtec, integra gsr 94-00, or type R integra, i want to know what would be a awesome daily driver ,that can handle, accelerated, don't really care about top speed, but mostly just handling and acceleration, what with the stock motor can be the cheapest to build up and even go turbo?? i like the look of the 97-98 prelude and the integras, it will not be a show car, it will be clean but no body kit or anything just motor, suspension, and any other race things, what do you guys think and are you happy with the power your making from any of these models?
handling and acceleration?
1. ITR
2. 4g Prelude VTEC
3. 5g Prelude
4. GS-R
Personally I don't like integras but the Type-R is just well made. But the cost too much I'd rather have a Prelude VTEC. oh wait, I do

The 0-100 on the itr is listed at 22.6, and the 0-100-0 on the itr is listed at 24.4. Can that be accurate? The itr goes from 100 miles per hour to 0 miles per hour in 2.2 seconds? that is some serious deceleration.
100 mph is about 46.3 meters per second, and to go to 0 in 2.2 seconds means you're decelerating at 21 meters per second squared.
21/9.8 = almost 2.2 Gees
Consider that 6.6 seconds to 60MPH produces about 0.48 Gees, less that 1/4th the force!
damn.. the seatbelt must hurt!

i have yet to find a corner that i cant follow my friend in his WRX at the exact same speeds. get an SH and learn how to drive. oh and get good tires.
atleast with the stock rubbers the ITR beats out the SH. But the thing that lost me was in the test article they list the top speed of the sh as 138 and not the 153 i've heard

if you want handling, you can't beat the SH, the SH is raw as *****!!! and will outhandle any car in it's class, and runs competitively with Porshes, Vettes, etc

that damn article will not load...but in the test (on a roadcourse.)
The SH was a minimal time behind the R (I beleive less than a second.) With the R running better tires.. The SH was on all season I believe.

stock motor can be the cheapest to build up
ITR's are pretty nice
i like my prelude but my friends type r does pull away after awhile
nice article. like it said, the prelude has more luxuries than the ITR making it heavier. if the prelude dint come with cruise control or a sunroof and had beter tires and stiffer springs and body, it would give the type r a good run

the type R also has no sound dampaning and A/C was added only as an option in the later years of production (as also the yellow and black colors, and wasn't there a red like hte civic Si?).
And if they would have brought the damn Type S over.....
Oh, and just like the Type R Civic and NSX, the Type R integra was designed race bread

Well first of all Type R handles better than the prelude. Better suspension and its lighter...of course it handles better. Also another reason why its straight line faster. Face it Type R owns us....BUT only if the driver is good enough... let me show you something.

scroll on down to csp...yes i got owned by the 00' type r...but not by much!...scroll a little more and what do you see....i own a type R woot!! and its only my 5th auto-x...its a drivers bet between these two cars imo...but if you've driven both...you'll want the R.
