Quick Mini me Q's
I am getting a z6 head for cheap and it is coming with the IM, B&M reg and everything. This is for the beater and I'm not going to go OBD1 sooo....
Can I use a PR3 ECU? (with a VAFC)
I figure it would have better fuel mapping than the Si ecu and I could just turn the x-over to 4800 or so. The rev limit is high so I'd have to be careful. (can they go up to 8.2k?)
Will I have to use the A6 IM because of the diff OBD sensors?
I searched but the archives dont work and the websites I found didnt answer my Q's.
please help me.

yes, you can use the pr3. the only thing is that you will run really rich an dyou have to get the mugen program that disables 2nd o2 and knock sensor. try http://www.hyperducktuning.com and http://www.locashracing.com. these are the sites i was recommended to by others. you can use the a6 im or the z6. the only thing i'm not sure about is the TB becausi its obd1.

you can use the Z6 TB, or better try and find a b series TB. The setup i have on my Z6 CRX is 92 Z6/ Y8 manifold/ 89 B16A TB and i run the PR3 ECU with the Mugen program, sure it runs rich but with the Fields vtec controller i have i've turned down the fuel a little and it runs like a champ. Just don't use the CRX's Map sensor thats mounted on the firewall just plug it into the Z6's top mounted TB map sensor it'll work fine.
Cool! thanks guys. I have a B18a TB laying around and was planning on using it.
So can the D series rev to 8k safely? Maybe with a mild cam?
