Like the topic says, I want to put a SI/SIR(canada) muffler on my 97 EK. I was gonna put a GSR muffler but it looked stupid since the muffler was so big (not the tip) and couldn't do anything about it

so my next job is to see how a SIR muffler would look on a EK, so if you have pics please post them!

well i have a stock si catback on my ek hatch with my si motor fits perfectly just u have to cut down the tip of the si muffler because it has a long tip and it fits perfectly.

 

I have a SIR mid pipe and cat on my 99 sedan!

I will install the muffler as soon as i get one but fits for sure!

Whats the point? Does the SiR exhaust flow more then the reg EK exhaust? from what I understand they are exactly the same, are they not?

 

dont know..it looks the exact same as my eg exhaust..except a little smaller?

 

All the piping of the SIR exhaust is bigger than the regular DX one.

I used it cause i wanted a better flowing exhaust, bigger cat and les restrictive than the dx cat. Also it is cheaper to get the SIR.

 

The SI (canadian SIR) muffler is exactly the same as the EX (canadian SI) muffler except it has a shiny tip.
