b16 idle crazy on reverse
i recently swaped a b16a on my crx i got a new clutch and flywheel from clutch masters everything is running fine exept when i put it on reverse the idle jumps from 700 to like 2000 and then back to 900 to a 1000 and sometimes it even stalls i need help with this
Is this in an HF CRX by chance?
I've heard the HF ECU has a plug in a different socket on the ECU or something that interferes with the engine or the fuel pump or something when the reverse switch for the lights is activated.... Just a rumor I read something about a while back...

Ive got the same problem in minetoo. Im running a B20VTEC and when i put it in reverse it gets all stupid on me. Idle get all funky and it miss fires like a ****! Been tryin to track down the prob for 6months. If someone knows something about this please post we could really use the help!
Yes the Hf is a bit weird when putting it in reverse. I'm not sure if it's the same problem you guys are having, but here's how mine went. The car runs fine and everything, but when I put it into reverse, I would get a CEL for water temp. sensor (I believe). But either way it would only happen when putting it into reverse. I called Hasport and they advised me since I had a HF car to cut the B9 wire at the ecu, and that would fix it. I was kinda sceptical about it but ACRXGuy on this board told me to do it because his was the same way, and that solved it. I cut the B9 wire, and it now works great.
Call Hasport. They will tell you to cut B9 and your problems will be gone.
This is only for HF models.
