My car started running like **** out of nowhere this afternoon and it thew a code4=Crank angle sensor. What exactly is this and how do I fix it? I took off my dizzy cap and there is all this maroonish colored dust in there. Could this be part of the problem? Thanks in Advance!!

 

means the orange and white cable off the dizzy are trowing the code
the crank angle are those cables
check up, unplug and check the resistance between those 2 cables
there should be 300-500 ohms.
if not then u need new dizzy.....
try checkin for loose plugs, cables and stuff
reset ur ecu (take hazard fuse off 10 sec)
try again
if its still there then try another dizzy..... if still there use another ECU

 

My hazard fuse was blown. could this have anything to do with it?

 

im running an obd1 dizzy and we rewired it for obd0 but im throwing the code 4. as far as i know the dizzy was fine before i tried to use it. any ideas?
