Maybe I've made a misteke (hopefully I have). But with the edition of this newely stolen ITR it makes 7 since the beginning of the year. WTF its getting bad for us R owners to even take our cars out. I fell for those who have lost their's. Sometimes I wonder if I should rip the wing, stickers and embelems off and put a 4 lug conversion from a GSR just too keep my car.

Car i used to see on campus had done that, didnt know it was an R till i parked next to it and saw 5 lugs and pimpy seats.

 

Lots of people are selling thier R and I think this one of the main reasons why. Only thing you can do is Make it harder for them to get your R... Alarm, Starter Kill, ECU bypass, Fuel pump By pass. Short of Removing your Wires every night this is all you really can do. DON'T make it easy for them to get it. According to Honda Tuning the Integra is the #1 Most stolen Car in the U.S. Insurance claims paid out are like 50% higher than the number 2 car the BMW X5.
Don't buy into this good neighborhood and Bad Neighborhood crap... Every place is a potential target to get your car. Safe Guard it and you can keep the amatures away.... Oh and another thing... BYPASS the Power Door Locks. Since the Hatch can beopened only with the Key or Power locks.

 

I came close to losing my R a little bit ago, now I'm gearing it up so it'll stay mine. One thing I don't understand, even if the power locks are disabled, can't the doors be slim-jimmed? So what does that accomplish?

 

it's more of a visual deterent. if it stops one out of a hundred people from trying to steal your car it has done its job.

 

Victor has a list of all the stolen Rs that he knows of. It's around 100 or so and that's just what he knows of...
