Default Oil Pressure Guage Install

Any one installed an autometer oil pressure guage in their car. Can wires be spliced in somewhere or do I need to install the supplied pressure switch? I ordered my Helms manual but have not gotten it yet. Thanks for all the help.

I assume you mean the power wires? You can run the power wires to the fuse box, but make sure you put them on the HOT side of the fuse. and just use one of the many grounds under the dash. As far as the sender goes, I had a special hose w/ fittings made to replace the factory sender. good luck.

Here's how I wired mine:
Put the oil gauge power wire on the Top side of the (Fuel Pump) fuse.
Put the gauge light power wire on the top side of the (Illumination) fuse.
Ground both of the ground wires to one of the under dash chassis grounds....
Run your sender wire through the firewall to the sender unit...

Radio shack has some connectors that actually attatch to one side of the fuse, and it has a regular crimp connector on the other end... For a clean install, I would pick up a package of those.
I hope this has been of help
