Well me (2k_SI) and fuzzy logik have caught the thieves in the NOVA area responsible for some of the professional jobs around here. Fuzzy logik's Eg-6 was stolen around december and my Si was stolen about 4 weeks ago. well on Thursday afternoon at a shop in MD we coincedintly(spelling) ran into all my stolen parts along with Fuzzy logik's Tein Suspension,Apex V-afc,and his sparco steering wheel! My parts included 2 Sparco seats, my rota slip streams. If you all read a post by "Greddy SI" you will see pics of the cars he is saying that is stealing the cars in the NOVA area and what a suprise those exact same cars that came to the shop when the police notified them that their cars were going to be towed on suspsion of stole merchandise... THOSE EXACT SAME CARS. I also have proof that the seats were mine because when the thieves stole my car and ripped out my seats they cut the Sparco harnesses where they couldnt get them undone, when my car was recovered they left the cut harnesses in my car, and on the red civic with my seats bolted in place he had left the part of the harness that was cut still bolted to MY or he says HIS seats. MD police said they could do nothing about the situation because not ENOUGH EVIDENCE! SO me and fuzzy called our detectives from Fairfax county and they had the car towed away that night. So we should be getting all our parts back soon.

these theives are getting off too easy. They should pay for the sh*t they f*ckin do man!!! unfortunately, my story didn't turn out that way.
my 99 si was stolen w/ a bunch of nice *** parts too.

hah, yeah i agree but after i get my parts back i would rather press charges against these ***** and keep them off the streets. but yeah it was one of the weirdest things to happen to me, i mean i walk into the shop cause my friend needed to return some tools he borrowed and what do you know all my stolen parts on someones car.....

the shop is called NEW AGAIN AUTOMOTIVE IN SILVERSPRING MD but honestly i dont think the guys there have anything to do with it, the head mechanic chris seems to be a real cool guy, he's the one who told me to call the police

 

Good detective skills. Hopefully you get all your parts back. Wonder if they are the ones that stole my brothers integra alittle while back.

P.S. Not to advocate random voilence or anything It IS possible I SUPPOSE that the shop didn't have anything to do with the thefts but lets be honest here. It sounds like a lot of these parts were pretty obviously stolen and the shop should have been suspicious. The argument 'Hey, we just install the stuff" really doesn't cut it with me.

Its one of the biggest reasons that I do EVERYTHINg myself (asside from the fact that I'm a cheap bastard) I know that people will case your car for easilly stolen stuff. Having had thousands and thousands of dollars worth of stereo gear ripped off on several diferent occasions i've got a lot of justifiable rage against theives and their enablers.

This isn't the first time I have heard something like this about this Shop. I know that lots of the people who used to work there nolonger work there becuase of rumors of questionable activity.
You never know to tell the truth. Very possible that they had nothing to do with the Actual thefts but if you have suspesions and there is a customer that works at Joe's Burgers and he alsways has the latest and greatest tunning stuff and it's always used.... Circumstantial to say the least but enough to raise an eyebrow or two and send that customer on his/her way just to be safe.

That's why I take my car to a shop where all the employees drive nicer cars than me. No worries of them trying to steal stuff from my car or from other cars. The head mechanic is buying a fully tricked out Skyline GT-R V Spec from Japan and getting it shipped here. Geez. . . .

 

Very nice work. Let me know whats going on with this, cause my car was stolen as well and it was probably by the same people. If there is some sort of meet-up you guys are having to claim stolen parts please let me know, ok?? Good work

 

I disagree with the burn them out strategy. If you do and they have insurance they get a fat check. Now bricks make for great vandalism. If some one were to go to the court house and evoke their right to public info and found a few address for homes, types of autos, and other things, bricks could rain all day or night. And insurance doesn’t usually cover vandalism.

P.S. Bricks don’t carry finger prints.

 

Griffin279 your right because when i said i was going to call the police, the head mechanic told me that this same thing had happened 2 weeks ago where a person has come in and seen a customers car FILLED with ALL their parts......

 

Seriously good job guys. I can sleep a little easier in NOVA knowing that a theft ring (even if it's just a few guys) was busted.

yeah it actully is just a little easier, but i just read a post in the type R forum saying that someones type R was stolen from tysons last night or 2 nights ago. same place where my SI was stolen, but at least i got mine back with the motor and insurence gave me 7,000 to replace the seats and rims, and i caught the thieves who did my car and i get my stuff back from them too.
