Default i may have reached an epiphany (autoX related)

what's the #1 rule in autoX? just drive! seat time=gold and avoid making huge changes to the car...right? right! i think i may actually, for once, listen to this piece of advice that i myself have given out time and time again (and so have others here on this board)

although i have a brand-spanking new suspension just staring at me...begging to be put in, i think i'm gonna let it gather dust for awhile. here's my reasoning:
1) I don't feel that i have extensively explored the limits of my current set-up. there are still things i have yet to play around with like alignment settings and the such
2) I'm comfortable with the way my car is set-up right now. it has a large, easily attainable 'sweet-spot' and that is prolly one of the most important aspects about a well prepped autoX car...it's easy to drive.

so, for the time being, my brand-spanking new koni's/carrera/ERS will stay in my basement and the only changes i am gonna make for the first half of the season are an alignment change, and a switch to wider wheels (same falkens though)

opinions? thoughts? comments?

I've been following that same strategy, although not really by choice... it's been more dictated by my bank balance. A while ago I really wanted to make so changes to tune out some understeer, but while I waited until I had the money to do anything, I learned to drive the car as it is, and now find it to be extremely neutral.
