Okay I've been thinking of throwing out the b16 block and puting in a b20,
but I have a few questions.
1. will this set up suck as a daily driver cause Im going to use my y1 tranny?
2.did it make a huge diff in you 1/4 mile time?
3. Is this worth doing or should I just get some good cams and a mugen chip on the pr3?

well....here is my input...

b20 bottom end .....b16 head.....i love the torque....

sorry didnt answer your questions....i just think that is a better route....

 

yeh I've been thinking the same but I got that short tranny.
Come on some body has the answer. Where did all the b20 owners go???

 

crvtec is cool but stock bottom end vs stock bottom end i wouldnt give up the trust in the b16 for the gain in the b20

 

1) It sucks *** on the freeway, its really loud and annoying.
2) I ran a 13.9 with a 2.289 60' time, trap of 101.8 Clutch slipping, and shitty tires was killing my 1/4 mile time, I could do alot better.
3) Hell yah its worth doing, good cams and a mugen chip wont give u the power that crvtec has, not even close.

Just get a LS 5th gear put in ur tranny. I really love my crvtec in my 89 HF, I have a YS1 tranny w/ my setup and im going to rebuild it with an LS 5th gear.
