Default oil pressure problem? built h23 turbo

i have a built h23 w/drag gen II kit. When i first got my engine together when the car was warmed up i would get a flashing oil light when i am on the gas...and at idle it would go off...

now like 2 months later, i get a oil light at warm idle and nothing when i am on the gas...

On all occasions my oil was filled to the correct level.

Any Suggestions?? Do you think my oil pressure sender may be faulty?

Thanks.

no i don't have one, but will hook one up very soon..

You really think it could be my oil pump? It's a brand new engine including the oil pump..

Who built the engine? Did they put in the oil pump?

yea the oil pump is like 1/2 the motor... ahah **** would go everywhere if they didnt put it in...
the might have the clearance wrong on the beargins. that will cause lack of oil pressure. when u crank it cold it should be around 80psi

Very funny, you must have a huge oil pump if it is like 1/2 the motor... I meant did the person that built the motor also install the oil pump. I was wondering because I am going to have my H23 built and they are going to install a new pump. Hope I don't have the same problem.

Try this, pull off your oil pan. Look at your pick up, and there should be 2 10mm bolts and 2 10mm nuts (atleast that's the way it is on B series motors). The 2 nuts bolt up to a small gasket. If that gasket is not there or the nuts might have broke loose or even fallen into the pan, then your pressure will be way off and your oil light will come on at idle. In my situation the 2 nuts were not tightened and feel into the pan. While changing my oil pan gasket I noticed the problem and now my pressure is right and no oil light!
